Didn't look like you were being very sarcastic in your previous comment to me.

To all concerned: This thread is for OT discussion, not flaming each other. The Dodge Forum rules still apply here. Back off or we will make you back off.

This will be the only warning.

Seeing things like that wrecked semi are what make me still say there isn't enough money in the world to get me back in the cab of one of them.

There are a few other reasons to go with that though.

I was a bigtimeproffesionaltruckdrivingman {yes, its all one word like that} for around 7 years. My idea of a weekend at home was a lot different from the companies idea of a weekend off at home. To them it meant that whatever time of day I got into the yard with their truck{Friday evening to anytime Saturday} I could go home but,... if I had a load out that had to be somewhere Monday morning I would have to leave home in time to get it there on time. Made for some darn short weekends.

My idea of a regular weekend off was alot different too. The company's idea was if there was no freight the truck just didn't roll, wherever it happened to be, it just sat until there was freight to haul.

I spent a lot of weekends and holidays in places that no one wanted to be. I was always broke, tired, dirty, hungry, horny,... and not home.

Then one fine day the federal government came up with the CDL license program to replace the chauffeurs license. Since I had already been driving for several years all I had to do was get the company to endorse the miles I had driven to be grandfathered in, but,... they refused because once they compiled my mileage, for the years I drove for them, it was more than a darn good team could legally cover.

It did not matter to the state that Ihad all but a few months of my mileage printouts from the company and almost all my logbooks. The drivers license examiner said they had to come directly from the company, and even had the ***** to say anyone with a computer and printer could have made the papers I brought in. Every week you got the mileage printout with your pay check. Since I was always out a month or more all my printouts were pretty much waiting for me at home all nice and mostly pristine, since the company had mailed them to the house.

My wife would cash the checks but put the rest in the file cabinet. When the company finally upgraded to direct deposit the wife didn't even open them anymore, just tossed them in the file cabinet.

I could have paid to take a state authorized CDL class for a few thousand dollars and gotten a fresh minty new CDL but I was pissed at the company anyway so I just quit.

I still have a class D license here in Illinois with air brake endorsement so I can still drive straight trucks or even semi trucks licensed for up to 16,000 GVWR. I haven't done that for years now.

In one of those pictures you can see a headlight still on. Wonder if he had his headlights on for safety or if the truck had automatic headlights.

Those cam's can be found under Crane Cams part numbers, they did a lot of work for Mopar back in the day for these motor's.

So if I was to suggest that cam the (R/T +10) with his 1.7 rr's he would be one upset guy with me when he bent all his pushrods or worse.

Cranes part numbers.

R/T cam grind number 2030 rpm 1200-5200 part number 704121 .458 and .467

R/T+10 Grind number HR-208/292-2S1-10 rpm range 1600-5600 part number 708501* .467 and .482

Thanks man. Just pm me when you find one that'll do good with my setup. I'll start saving some money for it here then.
