My buddys got one of those.. Is there a place online to get a new bar and chain for it?
I had an older jonsered, (think 1980's ) That thing weighed a ton. But was pretty much unstoppable.
Ate Thanksgiving with my "extended family in Oklahoma", and as I left I proceeded to pull into a driveway 30' west and across the street. Proceeded to back out and *boom* and noticed a blur of white in the mirrors.
What the hell??? Aw crap!
I clipped a guy driving a later model Tahoe who saw me enter the driveway and didn't think anything about it as he was too busy trying to find the address of his friend's house. Good think I keep the hitch ball in the receiver at all times as I put a dent in the driver's rear door and tore the bumper cover 3/4 off. The Silver Bullet suffered a broken taillight lens and slightly tweaked bumper along with some swapped paint.
He was OK, I was OK, and the arriving police stated we didn't need to file a report and could just swap insurance info. That was good as I'd forgotten to bring my wallet when I left the house.

Cheap is the perfect word to describe homelite saws.. they're junk! Thats what I had. My buddy burnt up the clutch in it and its barely 5 years old.

The one I'm getting is the jonsered 2255 20" bar 56cc motor. Weighs under 15 pounds. Not bad for 400 bucks
^^^ Husqvarna was a great saw, but was bought out in the 80's or early 90's buy some other company if I remember right. Homelite, Poulan and those saws are just toys, good for the homeowner that need to cut a small branch if he can get it running that is.
Stihl is and always will be my fav saw. I was factory trained back in the day and have never looked at any other saw to own.

Next chainsaw I want to get is a powerhorse. Some sort of off brand but I've heard a lot of good things about them. Opinions?
