I had an '86 Mercury Lynx (Escort) about 17 years ago. I glued a Chevy bowtie on the hood. Got 2 parking tickets. Tickets were written for a black Chevy, even though everywhere else on the car had the Mercury "M", I didn't own a black Chevy so I never paid them.
^^^That was only about 40-50 miles for me. I don't know what my corrected miles were (stock 245 to 285) but I'd fill it up and have the gas light on before 200 miles.
I forget how many gallons are left when the light comes on. Its in the owners manual
For some reason i think its as much as 5 gallons....
hey Kejobe how's that IFS treating ya?

A lot better than the Dodge. Smoother ride, better mpg, more power, has power everything, heated seats, etc. It's an SLT, top of the line. The Dodge was just the bottom of the line. Crank windows, rubber floor, no cruise, etc.
We (wife and I) had it for about a year before I took it over. It was hers till she got a '14 Trailhawk.

I can drive from Fairfax, Va all the way back home and just get the gas light as I drive down the final stretch of road before my house.
I put a 305 in a S10 Blazer before. Was nice till 30 miles down the road the trans went out. So I scrapped it.
