Went to a car show today. There was a lot of cool cars, but I didn't get any pictures because there was a ton of people there. Danny and Kevin from counting cars was there too. I got a picture of The Count for proof. I also saw a Dodge Midnite Express(picture is from google). I had never seen one before.

I've gone to a few of these in the past and this one is the best I've seen. Lots of carnage in the form of rollovers, breaking drivetrain, bumper car action, jumps, rock bashing, jumps, wheels flying off, jumps, rollover, lead changes, cutout motor/restart/retake lead, jump, cutout motor/lose lead/fire up/rock annihilate/retake lead....rince repeat....oh did I forget jumps/rollovers....another beer please!!

There was one rig running Duece axles and 46" Baja Claws. Floated over the rocks and had the hp to hold off a "little guy" lol. He made it 2 laps before a rear wheel started wobbling after hitting the start/finish jump. He tried to go 3 wheel.... lol

Wow. Even in the podunk little town of adrian, during the summer, you can't throw a rock without hitting a car show..... They range anywhere from a dozen cars from a local club, to hundreds of cars from damn near everywhere in the midwest/east coast.
Was outside doing chores, awaiting my long awaited nap after a long week. Not so quick...
Look up and see a HUGE billow of smoke on the horizon. I run up to the hill top, it's close enough. I jumped into the Ford and tore off to figure out where in hell this smoke is coming from, it's definately big enough of a fire... While many people around here ignore such things, I don't, as I know how fast a fire can spread, as well as how certain people around here do NOT attend fires properly and don't notify the fire department, which, around here if you want to do a major fire causing that much smoke you are supposed to let the local fire department know. At any rate, about three miles of twisting country roads later I found the fire. Several acres were on fire and I did not see the fire department or anyone else out there attending the fire. Just as I was almost to the driveway the fire department showed up, so I just turned around and headed home. At any rate the fire has been put out as there is no more smoke... So much for my nap... The wind was warm and dry from the south too. Perfect combination with a dry weather pattern to burn everyone out of their homes...
If you zoom in close on this pic you can see the flames.
Not very clear as I was on digital zoom. This is from about a mile away. Looking closely you can see black ground where the fire had been already.
A smaller cloud of smoke viewed from our place about three miles away. This was much smaller than the one that I first saw, as this picture was taken when I got back home.

Ughh.... Just got done chasing after another fire. And I confirmed it was NOT supposed to be there... What is it today? Gosh I've been driving all over the neighbourhood today checking on fires... It's not normally like this!
Well I figured out the cause of that fire. They did a controlled burn a couple days ago but didn't douse it with water to put it out. Then today we had a nice dry warm south wind that started it back up again. Found out we have a state wide fire ban.
And a county close to me had a thousand acres up in flames, they had to bring in a plane to put it out as the ground teams couldn't.
Town five miles south of me had a fire in the middle of it tonight, the highway north of me had a fire in the ditch, another town northeast of me had a fire...
