Flippin' Sah-WEET! I wanted to buy a used Subaru during my car search; however, you can't touch those things for under $15,000 with fewer than 60K miles on them. I have friends with Subies who refuse to give them up, one of whom is a doctor. He knows that in the even of an ice-storm (we get them most every winter in Oklahoma) his Subie will get him to the hospital without fail.

A 4X4 Ram is great for a 45 minute drive in an icestorm to get a couple large triple triples from Tim Hortons

Around these parts, the people who end up in the ditch are those with 4wd. They get overconfident

BTW - When I visited Ontario a couple of years ago, my Canadian host took me to Timmy Horton's. I thought the coffee was awesome, and the maple butter tarts about put me in a coma -- and I can tolerate sweets that would kill most mortals!

My buddy is selling his 2004 WRX wagon with around 60k on it for $12k

As for my upgrades, yeah, umm I forgot to order a few more parts, so they are on order too.

740cc Injectors $500
Turbo Inlet pipe $150
Denso IKH22 Iridiums $40

About 8 hours of labour to put it all in, including:

H Brace for Subframe
Short Shifter Kit
Master cylinder Brake support kit
Cobb Turbo Heat Shield.

Looking to get about 450 hp and torque at the crank. On the Dyno about 400. It goes in next tuesday to be all put in. I will post dyno results when I go for a tune on the 30th of this month.

Not bad for a 4 cylinder.

Subaru's run a boxer engine, think 911

This is the closest I could find.

And just so it makes more sense:

So what Im doing is Im replacing the Ram air scoop, to the turbo, including turbo. Replaced the Intercooler already with one 30% larger, replacing the headers and up pipe, already replaced everything from the turbo back.

So more and colder air, going to intercooler which cools it down even more, goes into engine, changed from 550cc Injectors to 740cc Injectors to 1.5" pipes to a 3" collector to a bigger turbo out the 3" exhaust with 4" tip sounds like a very deep rumble like a v8.

It sounds pretty Identical to this, only I have no cats and I get a big fireball at night when I come off the gas at high speeds.

Oh, my Ride:

I know some people in the ACVW world who like to "spank" V8s every once in a while, out on the streets. Not bad for horizontally opposed air-cooled, eh?
