My whiifes 2002 Ford Ka ist rosting like hell.
My 1998 has no rost. My 2005 alfa romeo gt the same, no rost.
the rost-protection in europe is a completly different one... because we drive the same car in winter also

how bout build a cummins 
line them cylinders up, lose the extra 2 as they are useless...
cummins inline 6 > magnum V8
just do some valve springs and push rods on the cummins with some head studs and have the head o-ringed or fire-ringed, and you have a motor build to withstand 800rwhp and more torque than most dynos can read...
just add big injectors, couple turbos, good to go...really want more power, port and polish the head and intake valley, put an intake horn on there, a fast spool cam, steed speed exhaust manifold, and she'll pump out another 150hp with a significant EGT drop and faster turbo spool time
no need to touch the bottom end till you get into the 1000hp territory...then a cryo treat on the rods will help...and some main studs to keep the rotating assembly inside the engine....then you can dump more fuel and boost into it, even nitrous if you want to cheat...

Well the Ford simply had a spring broken in the brakes so gonna go pick it up shortly! Shoes were in good shape. I'm guessing it was the adjuster spring. So tomorrow gets to be one heck of a hay day! I prolly will post a video, at least pics for sure. Problem is the other guy towing has a PowerJoke with about the best 6spd ever made IMO, the ZF6. At least it has plenty of power...

Don't forget the avarage lifted diesel grocery getter around here leaves the dealerships costing more than that and doesn't see any worse roads. On the other hand there was this women in Saskatoon that used to drive her porsche in the winter and everyone was appauled. She could afford it as her daily driver and it was AWD so she saw no reason in parking it. Now I park my ride since I couldn't even get to the main road if I tried but as soon as the roads clear up, It'll be driven. I wish I had pictures but if any of you Toonboys live in River Heights, you've probably seen her.

Jig you are right. I was under the impression that they didn't have cats until 3rd gens. 1st gens never had them though. And I don't really pay a ton of attention to p7100 truck stuff because I don't really like the system.
However I must disagree with you on the overfilling thing. Getrags and NV5600's, sure. But NV4500 have been known to burn up bearings BECAUSE they were overfilled. Some people run them overfilled with no issues, others run them with the factory recommended 4 qts. I run mine at a gallon of amsoil gl-4.
Techingeer, getrags use 5w40 full synthetic. One quart heavy. No Gl-anything needed. I posted about that earlier.
However I must disagree with you on the overfilling thing. Getrags and NV5600's, sure. But NV4500 have been known to burn up bearings BECAUSE they were overfilled. Some people run them overfilled with no issues, others run them with the factory recommended 4 qts. I run mine at a gallon of amsoil gl-4.

thats a lot different. Bentley would probably cost 2 or 3 times as much as a lifted diesel grocery getter if you had to buy one new. Porsche's are not that special. when i did a quick search there were 220 people selling Porsche's were as there is only 23 Bentley's for sale. there is a 2009 bentley listed for $118,800 plus tax which would come out to at least $135,000.
