I can only wish. I don't have enough money to pay attention, let alone even toss pennies in the yard....

we don't have pennies up here anymore. the government decided to put an end to the penny because it cost more to make them than they were worth. now i can understand quit making them but why take the ones already made out of circulation? there is probably billions of dollars in pennies out there.

i replace all the lights at my sisters place with CFL lights for about $20. she is pretty happy with how much brighter things are. there was 40 watt bulbs everywhere. now there is 13 watt bulbs everywhere but they put out the same amount of light as 60 watt lights. i know with the way the kids are switching to CFL bulbs will definitely save her some money on the future hydro bills.

He was at our home show a few years ago. One thing I will say being in the building design industry, he confuses clients more than anything else. I agree that his end results are good for the most part but not realistic at all. Someone says they have a leaky gutter and his solution is to rip the roof off and spend 40K to repair what could have been done for a few K's in any other normal circumstance. This leads people to freak out about little things. Obviously if you have unlimited funds like he appears to have on his show, you can make everything top notch but who does that. Kinda like recommending buying a ram 5500 with a 4.88 rear end to tow a sea doo. Sure it will do it better than any other smaller truck but not realistic to say the least. The show is entertaining to watch sometimes tho.

Very true. From what I understand, which could be completely wrong, he works out deals with the homeowner in regards to the building supplies and labor. At one point I thought most of the labor (depending on circumstance) might be done at a pretty cheap rate...

the only people he confuses is idiots. i know 1 thing he is pushing is do your research and some people just don't want to do that. i know a $1000 eavestrough ended up costing my mom $4000 because it cause the roof to start leaking and roof was only 10 years old. if the eavestrough was replaced years ago it would not have caused ice dams and would not have caused the roof to fail exactly where the eavestroughs were sagging.

^......Researchers spent 15 years studying the breasts of over 330 French women, and concluded....

I've been studying them a lot longer than that.
