had a new hemi with MDS, they only get about 17 on the highway. and thats at 55
Wow, I've never driven one. I would expect a bit better than that too. Of course, there ain't a whole lot of 'em doing 55. Most around here seem to hover in the 80-ish range!
I think one overlooked advantage is the selection of a good tire. If you stress least rolling resistance over off-road grip, it will indeed help with mileage. Plus keep them inflated correctly, something a lot of people don't do.
Maybe I'm just lucky and got a very rare 318 setup. I guess I'll keep it another eleven years.
1995 dodge 2500 5.9L hyperteck stage 2 computer system, flomaster 40 series exhust, msd, knn air intake, but i have light on top. im getting from 8mpg to 10mpg.
01' Sport 5.2 ..used to average 12mpg then added a fuel injector cleaner bottle and pumped up the tires to 45psi and gaines 2mpg! Hopefully gonna be getting 18mpg when my new motor is complete.
98' Ram 3500 2wd 12' flatbed dump 360 engine I'm getting 9.5 mpg mostly short trip city driving and some highway guess that's not too bad for such a heavy truck.
Update just checked my mpg again after adding a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil to the tank the truck jumped up too 11.6 mpg I was amazed
