Nope, not required to jump one, but, it sure makes landing a lot more pleasant.

Fine don't believe me I don't give a flying ************!!!111!!1!1!!!!111!!

Like I said I made that post to say that stock 1500 axles will handle the 35s the OP was asking about.

I know this because I drove the **** out of my truck with 37s on it.

I jumped it too, with a 3" susp lift and 3" body lift. Not even long travel foa suspension with thousands invested in a worthless old truck.
