True, driving style DOES have a big influence on fuel economy, but, unless you drive down hill, with a tail wind, ALL the time, you are not going to be able to get 28 MPG out of a gas V-8, in a full sized truck. Not any second gen anyway.....

i know the 318 in my 91 gets about 18 in town and 25 on the highway. i think if i tried hard enough i could get it to do way better.

i think thats great from what ive read for mpgs on a 360......but i always keep up with maintenance.....such as when i bought it i flushed diffs, oil change, (tranny fluid was new i checked it) and flushed radiator......im VERY high maintenance on my truck.....if i think somethings wrong, ill replace it even if its not bad.

I'm getting like 10 MPG on my last check. I have a feeling that my Plenum is blown again, though.

I'm seriously jealous of some of y'alls MPGs... I got 12.3214 on my last tank... this was from completely full to completely empty... I only know because I completely ran out. That's 90% highway. I don't go under 45 except for a quarter of a mile and there's only 2 stop lights I ever hit...

I'd love to see 15.

i have a 26 gallon tank.....my parents in Maine is 284 miles away (literally its all highway but 5 miles) and i can make it there on a half a tank.....so do the math

lets say 14 gallons divided by 284....thats 20.285 mpg.......thats no joke, but thats also going 70mph with cruise control the whole way....but i have 4.10 gears too...

if im consistantly in and out of the throttle weaving between vehicle to get there quicker, i can expect 17-19 mpgs
