Default Saying my farewells.

Well everyone, this morning I sold my truck. Too many memories, and I needed a change. I just want to give my thanks to everyone on here who helped me. I sure learned a lot, and met a lot of really cool people.

I will still be checking in every now and then to see whats going on in here. The 2nd gen Ram section is definitely the place to be when it comes to DF. I will more than likely buy another 2nd gen one day when I am out of college and want a project.

Again, I appreciate everything!

Thanks guys! Really.

Well...its kind of funny, I am sure I might get flamed by some, but oh well.

A lot of us on here, spend tons of money on our trucks, trying to make them hot rods. And sure, some of us have succeeded pretty well. But, these trucks really weren't designed to be top knotch street performers. (Except RM-Indy!)

I just decided to stop messing around and cut straight to the chase. I am buying a 1996 Corvette Coupe. Black exterior, black interior, 6 speed, only 72k miles. Special edition LT-4 engine which was found in the Grand Sport. I figure it will be fun, fairly reliable (as long as I treat it right), and get pretty darn good mileage. They are capable of 27+ mpg on the highway.

good look man, but think twice with the corvette, they tend to have lots of electrical isues. my brother owns a 2001 and he spends to much money fixing it. I think is because of the lots of accessories it has.

92 to 96 of the c4 vetted were pretty bullet proof. No electrical issues. Pre 90 c4s forget it, they had all kinds of issues. Goofy digital tach and a flimsy chassis. Everything changed in 91.

I bet you're right, as you are the one investing money you should do a research. I think too of problematic generations, my same brother owned a 87 firebird formula 350 and we were 4 brothers using it, we were racing it at every stop ans vs every mustang we meet. we get ride of it at 250000 miles with the first tranny Isue. then he bought a 99 firebird and ended selling it because of the many problems was having with that junk. then was when he get the corvette. we think of it as problematic, but he loves the car, and is what counts. if you really like a car you forget about the problems

If the only thing you want to haul is ***...You don't need a truck for that.

(Wanna race a truck...I love beating Corvettes)
