I feel sorry for you bass-turds in Texas and don't know how you're surviving. As for the rest of you in the US, WAH! This next week, in the OKC metro area, it's going to be the worst week this year heat-wise. You see, since the middle of May, every single day except TWO has been 100* or greater. The record number of consistent days (23) of 100*+ was set back in 1980 as is the record number of days (50) of temps 100*+. We are on track at 33 days of 100*+ temps as of yesterday. I cannot way to move out of this hellhole in just a couple of short years and return to the PNW.
Its been so dry they're charging people more for water usage, banning sprinkler usage, etc. Crops, grass, even weeds are having a hard time growing. Today was 98°F, and we had the first drop of rain all year about 10 min ago. Just enough to make my driveway wet, and it just disappeared. Now my electricity is shot lol. My whole block is. This has been the most miserable year...
A friend of mine, who talked me into moving to Spokane, Washington, doesn't help the situation. For example: When I left for work this morning, at 6:20am, it was already 83º. The high for Spokane today is supposed to reach 86º with a few clouds.
Glad I live in Michigan..... we have been in the 90's more often than not this summer. Today it isn't too bad, and we might actually get some rain.... not gonna hold my breath though.
I feel for ya VW. That SUCKS. Say hello to the folks in Washington for me.
95º - 98º here all week. I wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so humid. I went to a driving range yesterday and after about 30 minutes I didn't have a single dry spot on my shirt.
It's hot, but it's not too bad.
Gonna get up to 109 today or something.
We had 31 days straight with 100+* temps.
Broke it, now we are starting another streak.
