Ram Body work
Yesterday’s work – clear on doors, door edges, and inside of doors and rocker panel.

The stuff at the bottom on the rocker is masking paper - closed the door too soon and it stuck to rocker. May try to use some reducer on a rag to see if I can clean it off. If not, sand and recoat.....grrrrrr....
And battery went dead form leaving door open all night. Guess the cab light being off wasn't sufficient....

Thanks, guys! (haven't seen you around much lately, pacman...)
Shot the base on the passenger side doors and rockers this evening, and the strip below the rear window of the cab. Still need to do roof, hood, and front fenders after I shoot clear on today's work. Started to do that this evening, but started getting too many flying bugs in the garage.
Still do not like the left fender crease. Not sure it is correct. Will know when I shoot paint, and if it is not perfect, I will order new fender over the weekend. I see now why body shops are quick to replace. One can invest a ton of labor, increasing cost of repair. If this was just a beater, It would be OK, but if I wanted a beater, I would have used rattle cans!
Too much fog in garage just now to take photos (or on the inside of my glasses. Photos tomorrow.

if your going to do a few more paint jobs you may want to invest in a jitter bug. it is a sander you attach to a water hose. the only bad thing using this tool is you can burn down to primer fast if your not careful. keep in mind if you get a aftermarket fender you have to reuse the inner fender off your old fender. oem fenders are more money but fit better and have the inner fender installed.

Shot two coats of clear on passenger side today as there were too many flying bugs in the garage last night and I did not want to have them be tiny ornaments this morning.
Shooting on the practice hood makes getting spray gun set correctly much easier with fewer oooops to correct on the Ram.

Got the hood, roof and tailgate painted. Going to give the crease in the left fender one more attempt to fix before ordering new fender. I sanded primer back off the filler and laid another thin layer of filler.
Plan to shoot clear tomorrow on parts painted today.
