Here is picture showing the primary corners for the RTV shown in yellow. When you place the gaskets (total of 4), it should be clearer to you.
Wow, thats bad, is that a hole in the plate? Did you have driveability symptoms?

I don't see a hole. But I think people might be missing the point of the thread. Of course the bottom side of the plenum is going to be nasty from 100k+ of an oil bath. The pictures are supposed to be of the inside side of the plate, where it collects the oil/debris that actually causes the problems. I do see the bulging gasket though, so all is not lost Halojm

The point is to follow the example of the first post.
1. Show confirmation of a blown gasket. This can be done with plate still bolted up, as shown by Halojm's 1st and 2nd picture (bulging out plenum gasket).
2. Show what the typical condition is of the IM in general. This is shown by the bottom side caked with oil. This is the face looking at the lifter valley.
3. Show the condition of the inside face of the plate, preferably undisturbed, to show the gasket condition AND the oil residue. Key point about this last one is that people see examples of the oil residue CAUSED by normal PCV operation and blown plenum oil pooling. Many people mistakenly assume there shouldn't be any oil in there. Well there must be when you have a PCV operating normal AND a gasket that is intact.
There is a difference in the type of oil buildup.
Brownie, stuck on oil spot -- PCV oil spitup, which is normal
Watery oil in the corner or side -- fresher oil that came from most likely blown gasket.

Not sure what the point is anymore, I should have started a new thread instead. �� Here's the inside. I didn't have many issues before, ran a little rough until it was up to operating temp. Now that its fixed, I don't notice this hidden power some have claimed. We will see in the morning how it does from a cold start.

You should be noticing less hesitation and studder, ie, better throttle response. Will depend on your driving habits too. I can't speak to a change in performance since I ditched my keg. My friend's truck said he could tell more consistent response, but also....less oil usage.
