Default Nv3500

I'm starting to think the NV3500 for 94-96 dodge ram 1500 is a mythical creature and cannot be found in its original habitat, local junkyard or ebay. Anyone have thoughts on other places to look or have connections for better priced transmissions? $850 is the best rebuilt price I have found... But still, expensive! Seeking your help DF. I want to put up a DIY video showing how to install it, since there aren't any 2nd gen videos that I have found on how to do it!

2 or 4 wheel drive?

From everything I can find, 800 bucks is about as good as it gets for a rebuilt unit. Might be able to find something cheaper from a junkyard with a parts locator service.... but, don't expect the price to be much better.

There's one behind a v6 here in a JY in town. If you are interested I can pull it and we can work out a meet up.

To the best of my knowledge only 94-96 dodge ram 1500 / 2500s will work. I havent found anything that shows any other transmission will work. Thoughts?

It is a '94 2wd. I think it is a v6, but i don't think that there is any difference. I might be wrong on that...

EDIT: from what I can tell the 5.2 and 3.9 had the same nv3500.

I'm hesitant. Hollander part search, the program at the local junk yards say only 94-96 dodge ram 1500/2500 transmissions would fit...anyone else confirm or deny?
