I'm from Florida, but I'm living and working in Honduras, Central America. I bought my first 4x4 truck (This Ram which was a longbed) for down here, because most of the roads are horrible, ans many were still dirt and rock. It started with just adding a cheap lift kit and some 35's.

There is another competition coming up next week. This one will have a lot more mud. I fear my front locker won't be here in time.

Both you and WNK always have too much fun. Soon I hope I'll have my Jeep ready to go play with.

I haven't received my front locker yet, and there is a competition this weekend. Thanks honduran customs, for holding the the military mail hostage demanding money.

I'm nervous as can be right now. I just did a search in youtube for "taulabe 4x4 2015" to look at the course from last year, and it is mudddddy!

Well because you are going to be putting a full case locker in your axle you could think about welding your front axle making it a spool. Look it up on youtube to see how it is done. You might have to drop your front driveshaft to drive it on the road since you don't have hubs. But it would be one way to have a frontend that would have both tires turning.

Interesting concept. However, I actually ordered an Eaton Trutrac, limited slip for the front. I have the same in the rear.

I know the TruTrac is a limited slip but it is also a full case type locker. And since you were going to be replacing the whole case was why I suggested that you weld up the front end. It is a common practice for Jeepers in rear axles but some also do it to the front axle. It is referred to as a Lincoln locker because you use a Lincoln arc welder to do it. Of course a Miller welder works just as well.

Calling it a "Miller Locker" might have beer connotations... "Hobart Locker"?
