Wheeling a fullsize
WK: A full sized on the Rubicon? That had to be fun.
It was sunny and 75 degrees here on Friday. Saturday, we got snow...... Today, it is cold, windy, and kinda/sorta/almost trying to snow.....
Welcome to Michigan.

WK,
Awesome pictures as always and your captions are always fun to read. Yes winter is closing in on us real soon. We've got snow in the hills around here already and they are saying I might have snow here at my house before Thanksgiving. In the 11 years I have lived here we've had snow twice before Turkey day.
My new intake will finally be ready next week so I should have it the week after that. Once I get it I'll be sure to post up pictures and specs. Now we all know it isn't an AirGap because I just sold mine and it isn't an M1 either.

Really excited for you big guy!! Thanks for the compliment. As you know, trail stories can cover so many aspects.
It's really a matter of perspective. "tough" covers a wide spectrum. For instance, pulling a trailer over this is tricky (circa 2014).

Pulling trailers on the Rubicon is not uncommon. The thing about this trail is that the challengers are not continuous. You have some down time. It remains plenty tough as the trail is allowed to evolve, with exception of prescribed sections.
Had to plow a path to the road and the skid steer wouldn't start. The video is of the path after I drove it a couple times. My dad had to pull me back a once but once I got trucking she ate the snow.
Couple weeks ago this Grand Cherokee went out mudding. His buddies could not help as the mud was too soupy. I almost got bogged down in my air down 40s with lockers.
So first winched him about 80 feet to get out of the major soup, then snatched him out.

I hate mud.

I need to get my go pro mounted on my windshield. I just blasted through drifts in the middle of a snow storm to go pull out a friend of mine who lives in a small town (less than 200 people) 10 miles away.
Out of curiosity how many of you are that guy, you know the guy who gets the phone call cause someone is stuck or is having technical problems. Seems like me, my brother, and my dad are. Don't get me wrong I enjoy be able to be relied on you know the prepared one who can think on the fly, makes you feel good but some times it can get old. I just remind myself I'm lucky to not be the one on the other end of the phone needing the help.

The first winter I lived here, we got some pretty serious snow, and I spent the day helping my neighbors get back home, when they discovered that going anywhere was a bad idea. I even pulled out some half-ton 4x4's, that just didn't have the ground clearance for the amount of snow we were getting.... The county didn't plow out our roads for a week.... so, if folks needed to get somewhere, they called me.
I thought it was an excellent way to make some brownie points with the neighbors.
