Maybe a band adjustment if it hasn't been done for a while?

If the unit has more than, oh, 80,000 miles or so, I'd do a full fluid change, too. It's not too difficult if you've got a five gallon bucket and a helper. More or less like this, but without the intermediate fill with Dexron-III:

If you do that after the internal maintenance but before you put in the remote filter you'll end up with a nice clean load of fluid and a brand new filter that's not asked to trap the crap that was circulating around before the installation.

Prolly around a hundred bucks...... You would get a fluid and filter change with that as well though.

i've got one of these waiting for me to install.
it also includes gasket, filter, and extension.
its a smidgen cheaper than the hughes.

i wish it included the 8-9 quarts of $6-7/quart fluid it was going to take to fill it up.

I don't know about flush......I would drain, disconnect the cooling lines, and clean out the cooler (there is a can of cooler flush for that), then refill tranny. Maybe do it after a couple thousand miles again.
