Ah, good. Sounds like a plan then. Wonder if that will take care of your suicidal t-case woes......

Well with some talks with Merc he thinks that the problem lays in the transmissions.. Never got much more info from him... I really hope it does though.. I will be throwing a saver on this one to see if it helps.... One thing I have been thinking about was when I reinstalled the tcase.. It was never torqued down.... Just tightened till my arm clicked..

My father in law thought it was funny hearing about all the transfer case issues on these Rams, and he had done some transmission work to his RamCharger, and when he put it back in he just tightened the tcase back on, well the last time we were in Ga he had to get under his truck for something and saw the bolts loose, I was like aha, you almost had mega transfer case destruction

Well, you'll find out, sooner or later, one way or other.

Well man unfortunately I was never able to get a straight answer from anybody about this, some said yes it could be trany related others said not a chance So I just don't know what to say. I am not a auto trany guy at all, I do my best to stay well the heck away from inside them. In short I can't help, I personally believe it is in the trany but without more knowledge about auto trany I just can't say 100% that what it was. My new tcase is not tq'd down just nice and tight, no loctight just tight, heck I think it's even missing a nut on the top one side that I missed.

New a/t, new tcase, and new drive shafts...should presumably nuke the cause. Only other variable are axles and driver.
