If you want these trucks clean you have to hand wash them. Automatic car washes suck

Yep.. diesels and gassers are opposites when it comes to certain parts.

gassers typically have a better valve train than diesels...

but diesels have a 10x stronger bottom end than gassers. (crank, rods, and pistons)

however diesel valve trains have weak springs and retainers not designed for higher RPM's or more than about 40psi of boost...

gassers are made to turn twice the rpm's of a diesel so they have to use stronger springs...

btw the springs are not stock neon springs...they are upgraded neon springs... just so happens the cummins can use that same spring.

Jig what valvesprings are in your truck right now? I have 60lb springs and wish the PO had went with 110lb springs.

next is when i installed this chain and some military grade shackles that fell off the back of a truck i also installed a license plate light too so it would pass inspection. two days after it gets inspection, the trans goes out...with only about two months left in the military and yes that is good ole texas sweet tea that my grandma makes daily. one of the plus's ive had being stationed at home for the past 3 years.



here it is getting ready to pull the trans. some military posts have an auto crafts shop, i think in total i paid $32 for time on the lift and i got away with no storage fees for a month whenever i pick up a 5.9 and have the girlfriend rebuild it ill do a good exhaust with headers and what not. for now its what i picked it up with. weird no cats and regular o2 sensors but still doesnt throw a code.

well im gonna try to get her to do most of the work but yea im just teaching her. she only is willing because shell be the one driving it here pretty soon and ill get my 2006 hemi rcsb back from her

factory 24v is like 72# I think? you should just go to 110#

not 100% positive, but I think the crower springs might work for you too..

you just need less of them, so should be close to 1/2 the cost.

 

No no no I have 60lb over stock springs.

 

lol I know you don't have stock springs, you said you have 60# springs which = 60# installed valve seat pressure.

110# springs would do better with the twins (110# installed height seat pressure)

the crower springs are actually 115-117# springs. 12v can take it easily with stock push rods.

24v needs upgraded push rods though because each push rod is pushing 2 springs...only 12 push rods and 12 rockers in a 24 valve...the have a bridge under the rocker for pushing 2 springs with one rocker.
