Axle annoyance.
Okay, so a few months ago my truck started having some front end issues. After a bunch of trips to the mechanic and a bunch of useless fixes and wheel bearing going out, he finally figured out that the problem was something that had to do with the axle. It would be making terrible noises and vibrate very agressively. So he bought a "repair kit" to save money. This fixed the issue and about two weeks later, it started making the same noises but they were very faint. Now it has been about 2 1/2 months and it has gotten really bad. Every time i hit a bump going through town, it feels like a very agressive grinding. But not as bad as it was before it was "fixed". Would love it if anybody could tell me why it is doing it again. Thanks.
What does "feels like a very aggressive grinding" mean? Is this feeling in the steering wheel, the brake pedal, the seat springs grinding your ***... what? What does "a very aggressive grinding" feel like when you perceive it through the steering, the brake pedal, or your ***? Where do you perceive "the same noises" might be coming from, and what do they sound like?
Well, the noises when going down the road are a fast ticking noise, and a sound that sounds like something is really loose and being thrown around. The vibration/grinding i can feel through the whole floorboard. All of this appears to be coming from the front right of the truck. Before it was "fixed" the vibrations were so bad the the whole truck would vibrate. The grinding noise is a really loud metal to metal sounding grind. Again, it only starts vibrating/grinding when i hit a bump.
No. lol

We cant do that because we know the guy really well and we are good friends with him. And he is a really nice dude. lol
We did that before it was fixed and believe it or not, the driver side whell was the one acting weird. lol
Have you replaced the ujoints? Maybe pull the covet off the front diff and see if it us all there and moving freely. Check your wheelbearimgs. If all else fails tighten the snot out of everything with a breaker bar and see if that helps.
