well, looks like we're not going to be getting a camper now. budget isnt there this year. however im still building the motor. i may even pick up a JY low mileage 360, and cam/build it instead!

found a 360 with about 130k on it from the same JY that zman visits on a weekly basis for 275. gonna go pick it up as soon as i get my returns. im gonna email hemifever now, and give him all my specs so i can figure out what kinda power im gonna be putting down at the flywheel. ill get it dyno tuned later on.

 

How it cranky doing?

 

dunno. havent talked to him for 2 weeks or so now. i imagine hes doing good, but hes supposed to be losing his house. dunno if it happened yet or not though.

 

well... with deciding on getting a used 360, merc talked me into building the short block as well. im either going with .030, or .040 over keith black 107 pistons. some sort of h-beam rods, stock crank. all clevite bearings. and im awaiting word from merc about a cam. going to be running 1.7's with this cam, an m1, a 50mm tb, and custom heads from odessa suited for my needs.

just trying to figure out if ill need a hardened oil pump shaft or not.
