If it's going to be the rebuild motor I'd get the '98. It's cheaper, almost half. Gives more cash to do whatever else is needed.

And if it's going to be rebuilt the extra 32k mileage means nothing.

Plus it's closer to your 2001.

its not being completely rebuilt anymore. block is staying the same, top end is being built.

still go with the cheaper motor?

I think I would. 32k miles isn't that much, a top end rebuild should give some idea to what the bottom end looks likes, to a degree anyway. Right?

It's kind of a gamble either way, the '98 motor with more miles could be in better shape than the '94 with less, or the other way around.

true enough. i have a pretty much an unlimited income for this top end build. just couldnt swing a full on build right now.

i think im going to call hughes to see what kinda cams they suggest. i like the specs on the cam i linked to, but i want to get the most power possible outta this 360.

As for the 94 vs 98 engines, I think after 97 or so they changed the piston head design, made it a bit more aggressive.

Should be ok...... if you have problems with always running lean, then it's time to start looking at larger injectors. Wideband O2 may not be a bad plan.

wideband is already being ordered as recommended by hemifever. just wanted to make sure stock injectors would be ok, dont want any spark knock, or anything....
