Smile Magnum's hemi eaters?

Would you guys rather stick with your 318's and 360's or move up to a hemi? Also care to share any stories of embarrassing any 5.7 lately?

I wouldn't mind a hemi, simply because of more horsepower.... (not to mention better aftermarket support...) But, if I go to all the trouble of dropping another motor into my truck (aside from the 360..) I would go with an LS engine of some description....

I've spanked a 3rd Gen for about 200 meters. Nuff said. The 3rd/4th Gens are suitable for modding to do gofast desert, but heck on for trail and crawling.

Sorry I'm fairly certain you'll get spanked.

You won't.. I can whoop on a Hemi until 50 or so.. then they pull hard and the only time I catch up is after 105. Mainly cause the one I always race is limited to 105 lol... My old man's Hemi will run a 16.7 at like 85 in the 1/4... That's lifted with 35's.. stock one would easily break 15's... So hopefully you got some good work done to your truck or else he will spank you everytime..

i think i would sooner stroke a 318 than stick a new hemi in an older truck. those new engines are mechanical and electrical nightmares that get expensive fast.

ya ive never tried a hemi, 4.7's are breakfast. With my old truck i tried a corvette on the highway, we accelerated quite evenly (he was a little quicker) but once i hit 180 i was done
