First you say don't be a lady part, then you say to douche the thing with worthless fluid. Make up yer mind, man!
Don't add chemicals. Run ATF4+ and be happy. 'Nuff sed.
I didn't know that prior to the other guys post that Lucas did that crap, I haven't had any crap transmissions of my own to try it on for an extended period of time, only good working ones that had nothing wrong and my truck has never seen a drop of anything but ATF+4. I've always used ATF+4 myself personally, and the Lucas label said it was safe for all transmissions!....my bad that I didn't know about some rogue independent test that shows Lucas is crap for our transmissions!. It worked great in my sisters bus that had a slipping tranny so I figured if his is fkd try it as a last Ooorah!.

No worries. In general, there's nothing in a bottle that's going to fix a mechanical failure so one might just as well fix the problem correctly rather than pouring in a bottle of miracle cure.
In my experience, the miracle cures just plain don't work, and it doesn't really matter if it's for the cooling system, the crankcase, or the transmission. Sure, a bottle of Bar's Leaks might stop the spewy radiator from spewing, but it plugs up the bottom end of the block more often than not. The STP might stop some oil burning, but it gunks the heck out of the rest of the engine and leads to premature bearing failures. And so on... When your stuff is wore out, it's wore out. Fix it, or make it worse.
