Go with the EQ heads just make sure who ever you get them from that they install springs for the cam your going to run.

Ill just run them how they come with no port work since i don't think ill be at 500hp. I can get the heads from odessa off ebay for $820 built for my cam. Is that the cheapest place to get them?

Yeah, that's probably going to be your best bet.

I cleaned my main caps at school today in the parts cleaner and borrowed some assembly tools so I'm ready to put the crank and pistons and rods in sometime this weekend. Then I have to save more money so I can order the rest of my parts.

I have two brass freeze plugs left over from my kit. Am I missing something? And do I put both or just the one steel plug behind the cam?

Only one plug behind the cam.

Did you get the two plugs on the back side of the motor? Sometimes, the kits 'fit more than one application', so, you end up with extra parts..... may be the case here.
