Hi everyone. I am new here and just trying to figure this all out, so please bear with me. I have a 95 ram 1500 and I am rebuilding the 5.2 motor. So far I have had a shop machine the block and bore it .40 over spec and instal proper pistons, rods, etc. I also had a stage 2 Comp cam shaft put in, but my question is will I need to upgrade anything else (heads, rockers, valve springs, etc) in order for it to run properly and with full power? And id so are there any particular brands I should look for? Trying not to break the bank either!
This is my first rebuild so I am learning as I go but I would like to get more power out of the motor. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Will

Ugh I hate all that "stage 2" "stage 3" "stage this" Bul crap.
What are the specs on the cam?
Stock heads are worthless throw them away. Specs of the cam wills determine what springs and the whatnot you will neeed
Also you will need a way to tune it. I think you can use the mopar performance pcm

Specs can be found here.
.512 lift on the exhaust side. Stock valve springs won't work. The max at .480. So, valve springs at least.
I would be tempted to just pick up a set of Odessa/Clearwater heads (new, thicker castings) with the correct valve springs....... Solve several problems at once.
Good cam for power down low.

What i mean to say is, could i get away with getting the proper valve springs, but using the stock heads? From the comments above I am unsure if the stocks heads will work because they are a thinner casting than the aftermarket ones, but theoretically couldn't I use them until i can afford the upgraded castings from Clearwater?
