Quote: It's my position that the US & State/Local Governments have NO right to tell anyone they have to wear a seatbelt.

I 100% agree. But then again I am originally from the great live free or die state of New Hampshire I get so pissed whenever I see the signs here in VA that says "click it or ticket". ****in stupid IMO

And just think Tesla didn't/doesn't have dealerships, they have Stores in which you can buy their products, and politicians from various states were bitching about them not using dealerships, which is actually a good thing, cuts out the middle man, gets the consumer a better price.

These laws aren't designed to benefit the consumer....

Apparently, in some places, it is flat out ILLEGAL for a vehicle manufacturer to sell directly to the public..... Which strikes me as truly bizarre...... I am REAL curious what their reasoning for that one was......

And license fees - retail stores don't have a dealers license. Dealers have to. And believe me, they cost $$$ to get.

government is greedy for taxes because their spending is out of control.

they are even talking about charging taxes to people who generate their own electricity via solar/wind/hydro and they also want to put GPS devices in electric cars to charge them tax by the mile or charge them an extra fee at registration every year because they aren't getting their road tax off of gasoline or as much utility taxes.

They locally got shot down already for wanting to add a 75% tax on vape products

other states have already, or are trying to outright ban vape products all together.

absolutely ridiculous. We find a far healthier alternative to smoking, but because it is causing a significant decline in tobacco use/sales, does not have the extra steep taxes like tobacco, and is far more effective than nicotine gum/patches, they want to ban it. Especially because they can't control it. people can make their own juices, devices have somewhat standardized their compatibility with one another and the industry has exploded in growth and popularity in recent years...

I haven't smoked in over two months now and have exclusively been vaping. My GF has bought fewer cigarettes since she started vaping and I just bought her a better tank for her battery and she likes it a lot more than her old one and seems to be using it a lot more often and cigarettes a lot less.

Technology is growing beyond the governments control and they are mad about it.

we are seeing similar battles with radio and broadcast TV vs internet streaming. radio is dying and cable/sat providers are losing subscribers to hulu, amazon prime, netflix, etc...

internet radio has driven a crippling blow to broadcast radio. who still listens to am/fm radio anymore? I stopped listening to it years ago! I have an MP3 player, and a smart phone with two different internet radio apps that I can pick up whatever content I want on.

^If the goverment would simply put tarrifs on all imports they wouldn't have to tax the citizens like they do and it would prosper local economy. But not gonna go too deep there...

I haven't listened to AM for years; some new radios don't even have AM on them. I listen to FM occasionally but 99% of my listening is MP3 or internet radio. Like you said, I can listen to whatever I want, when I want.

I got to use the torch today. I found out I need a new valve on my torch head. Any idea how to I.D. the handle and get a new valve? If I push on the valve it shuts the flame off, if I pull it out it opens it up all the way. Shouldn't be doing that as it should only twist to adjust it.

are you kidding me? they already tax the hell out of imports!

why do you think import cars cost so much here?! bmw, mercedes, and volkswagen is the ford, chevy, and dodge of europe! we just get charged extra for them because of import taxes.

further limitation of imports would be foolish. government just needs to stop spending so much money on stupid crap.

I was being sarcastic.

In other news gas jumped 8 cents a gallon.
