I can see why the driver of the Dodge did what he did but still think he is in for a world of hurt fromthis all. Does anyone know what town or maybe the state this happened?

The kid is in for a pretty rude awakening too. Being a minor he might get a nasty slap on the wrist but depending on the state he lives in it could be more.

I really wonder if anyone was seriously hurt in this deal.

Last summer down in the quad cities some kids decided to take their dads car for a joy ride. The dad called the cops. The kids went north to Clinton and picked up some more friends then the cops came upon them so naturally the kids tried to run away.

They went through several yards and finally got to the highway and made it across the river. More cops joined in. The car the kids were driving only made a top speed of around 70 mph so it was a pretty slow high speed chase. The cops stayed on them all the way up the river to my town where they took a wrong turn and ended up being boxed in in a residential area where they gave up.

The cops were on them right away and it was like a scene from a movie with a dozen guns drawn, making them show their hands, and crawl out of the car and get on the ground. None of them were very old I'm pretty sure the oldest was under 18.

There were also several folks with cameras but I have not seen any of the footage.

They got charged with grand theft auto, fleeing to elude, excessive speed and a long list of other things. Two of them were old enough to be charged as adults. In their flight they ran several cars off the road. The trial was moved from the quad cities to somewhere here in Illinois but hasn't happened yet. I'm pretty sure the kids were released to their parents custody. The one that was actually driving was only 14.

No one was hurt in that one.
I would suspect that the local prosecuting attorney is going to see the writing on the wall on this one, and elect NOT to press any charges against him. I am thinkin' the public hue and cry would be heard three counties away.

I dont have kids or anything. But I know there's a point where you do what you think you have to do to protect your kids. Consequences be damned.

Hey guys I'll be getting my gears here since my quad will be pretty much done this paycheck.

I called Randy's and they said they don't carry the 4.88s anymore so where could I find them at? I'm going 37x13.50s later is why I'm looking for them.

Thanks a million man! What about the major overhaul kits for them? Should I get them too and would they be on summit? Would be nice if I could just place 1 big order on there.

Plus I'll need my posi unit.

Is this the only kit I need? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bc...model/ram-1500

I found a locker someone posted on here awhile back on BAS Offroad if that would be fine unless Summit has that too. Just not sure which one to go with on Summit.

And is there really a difference between the PA and the Summit brand 3" Body lifts? Besides $30, lol.

I'm making a list so sorry for all the questions.
