No shims included in that kit. (pinion shims, don't think the carrier uses 'em.)
Lockers/limited slips are a matter of personal taste. Some prefer limited slips over lockers, as their 'road manners' are easier to get used to. Some lockers tend to be 'noisy'. (detroit) and sound horrid when they engage/disengage. Something else to get used to.
Check what is included in the kit. Does it come with rear bumper brackets? Front bumper brackets? Extension for the shift linkage? Etc.

I wanted a posi locker because I hate open differentials.. I forget where I found that one Detroit true trac locker at. But I'm mainly on the road now besides my once in a long while mudding spurts.
What about this one? http://www.basoffroad.com/product_p/ng-ag-542070-hp.htm
And I compared both kits. Exact same parts in them. Both come with the front bumper brackets and the steering extension. I have to buy the rear brackets though.

But you would lose that 2" of lift in clearance.
I fully recommend a Detroit trutrac. The closest limited slip to a locker I've seen. Works like a charm when you are on the road but once one wheel starts slipping offroad, hold on because she's just going to keep going. My dad put one in his d44 in his 98 ram and I've compared it to my truck and there is no comparison. Both wheels keep on turning no matter what. Only complaint I've heard is if you are rock crawling and get one wheel off the ground. But the trick is to apply a little bit of brake and it'll kick back to the wheel with traction. I'm getting one when funds allow.

Yeah the 80 is HUGE. Overkill if you ask me. How big is the 60 compared to the stock axles? I have 60's in my mud truck and they are pretty big, but thats a Chevy 60. I swear I heard somewhere you lose 2" of ground clearance with a 60.
You don't lose any ground clearance. I dont have any actual measurements. Just what I feel from working around it b
Finally took the wife's Toyota Corolla in for inspection, only 4 months behind, got a new set of rubber, Cooper CS3 Touring, kinda pricey for the mid range, $73 each but they're giving a $50 rebate...
