Well, I see redneck_ram's position and kinda thought that's what he was up to before he responded. I'm at the same point for the 99 as TP mentioned above and considering I do not intend to trade or sell either the 99 or the 98 then I'm also looking at a box for the 99 and one suicide door. I'm not sure how available suicide doors are so I will watch this repair and hopefully get updates from both redneck_ram as time goes by. I'll try what he's doing on the door and box for the short term (my buddies already been on my case). I'll try for a donor truck and stick it in the bldg. So thanks for posting this rr. Looking forward to the pics & updates. K.

edit (he's replacing the truck eventually), too bad................I love a good sleeper!

Tincan, I see the rear quad cab doors on Craigslist sometimes. You might find one on there.

redneck_ram..............so you're keeping your 360 motor right? On the Hemi, I'd get the 2500 (more manuals I'd bet).

Thanks Jolly, will keep an eye out.

redneck_ram thanks in advance for updated pics on this thread for repairs and paint. K.

i very much plan on getting a 2500, or 3500 srw. if i cant find a 6 speed, ill settle for the 545rfe. we have that trans in the jeep, and its a pretty smooth shifting transmission, until you get into the throttle a bit...

did some more today. got it fiberglassed, and a skim coat of tiger hair over it.

a buddy of mine owns an auto body shop, and recommended a paint/undercoat product called SEM. i bought some, 2 cans actually. takes about a can and a 1/4 per side. 19.9oz cans.

12.99 each!

I'd have saved the money used on the rust repair and spent the money on a pair of thicker ramps!
