Half Doors
Ok, there are many more people here that have body work experience, so I'd really appreciated any tips you've got with this project. Allow me to layout my requirements or plan so far.
1. Utilizing factory locks and mounting system.
2. Interior will be reinforced prior to capping with sheet metal.
3. Custom removable window system (think tent door/window).
4. Maintain factory wiring for speakers and other power features.
Here are the starting tape lines for the cuts. They are not concrete by any means.
I'd like to know what kind of steps I should have in mind with this.
Starting layout
Where I think I'm ending up with suicide door based on the interior. Will probably be able to push open the upper window portion more.
Incorporate these,

So what gauge you recommend? Steps on prep, paint, etc.?

Really? I've demonstrated that I drive/treat the truck to imply injury to my own?
The cuts are low, yet they will be recapped with sheet and have tube for shoulder and head.
I assure you this thing literally moves like a boat, not bouncy and jarring.
Trying to decide between 20g or 22g sheet. I should be able to use basic hand snips on 22g, but possible too easily formed with the hands. grrr
Edit, this is how comfy it is this past Saturday on the Rubicon. Lol
Ran the A/C for a bit too.
