Default Possible dumb question???

I have done a what I feel is a fairly thorough search and have had no luck with my question so here goes...

I have a 98 2500 4x4 and it appears to have a 5" lift (block under rear leaf) with 315/70/17 tires. What I'd like to do is be able to lower it back down so I can put smaller tires back on and it not look like a clown truck. The issue that I'm having is that any OEM coil spring that I find seams to measure close to what I already have on the truck now and I can't figure out how to lower the front end. The reason for the lower is to pull my travel trailer and not have to change gears. The trailer weighs 7400# dry. The truck will pull it but not down the high way very comfortably. Thank you guys for any help you may be able to provide.

Not my truck but I like how it sits.

That five inch block is stock.

What gear ratio do you have in your diffs?

Not sure on the ratio. What ever was... is factory. Sure seems to sit high.

X2!

The reason for the lower is to pull my travel trailer and not have to change gears. The trailer weighs 7400# dry. The truck will pull it but not down the high way very comfortably.
Lowering the truck is not going to change that. Are you turning the overdrive off?

Nice looking truck. Love the tires. Those are 315s?

I do have to say, it does look like the front was leveled. I wish mine had that stance, I am about 2" lower in the front.
