Well it's that time again. 2-3in of play in the steering so I tried adjusting the box. I'm all the way down, can't turn it anymore. Still have some slop but I have some improvement. Still have play but it doesn't wander really. I'm guessing I have to change the gear..again...

When was the last time you changed it, and what did you throw in there?

HA! So turns out my gear was mounted a little loose. I guess the mounting bolts somehow loosened up. Glad I caught that. I'm not on here enough. Towed a 4700 lb camper I just picked up and she handles it well but the hills will kill ya. Had overdrive off pretty much the whole way. Wouldn't have been too bad except for the glass packs I'm running with the stacks. Honestly losing a bit of back pressure too but that's just the bullet you have to bite when running an exhaust setup like this. I really wanna give it a good coat of paint since the clear coat is fading pretty bad. Could use a new dashboard too. Always hovering back and forth since I could put that money in a newer truck but c'est la vie haha the signature pic is no longer an accurate representation of the way it looks LOL

Oh, I guess I didn't mention that I fixed my air conditioning. Replaced everything under the hood and had nice cold AC for a few weeks. The other day, I noticed the compressor was cycling often and not as much cold air was coming out. I guess I have a freon leak somewhere..yay

Yeah, I spent around 700 bucks getting things replaced/recharged, and a/c still only lasted two days...... I suspect my evaporator core is leakin'.

Been deployed the past 2 months so I wasn't able to tackle the A/C leak. Hoping to re-attack this spring when I return home. Might try and fix and the sagging bumper too. I'll probably put together a decent cost list of things she needs. Something to spend the deployment money on hahaha like a new Redhead steering gear!

Any ideas on why the heat isn't amazing? I'm guessing it's related to the coolant. Maybe I've got some air in the system since my truck loves to eat coolant every couple thousand miles. I'm always having to add it from time to time but I don't have any leaks. Just been like that for yeaaars. The heat is a recent issue. Man I hope it's not the heater core..
