Then you can get back to working on the Jeep.

You mean he’s not been on a creeper working underneath for the past weeks, waiting for his leg? 😄

Well to be honest I've been staying with relatives on the west side of the hills to be closer to medical facilities. I haven't been home since 12 May.
I'm also not sure I could get up from the creeper just yet.

I'm familiar with that problem....... and I still have both my legs..... I can only do so much of that up and down thing, and then I am just done.

Having a helper makes life a lot easier. Just someone to hand me tools as I need them makes my life much more pleasant. Been teaching the grandson, but, he doesn't have a lot of interest.... Granddaughter though, she just likes hangin' out with me, doesn't really care what we are doing. She's 10.

Well my daughter says she wants to start helping again so we will see how that goes. Once I get my new leg it's going to be interesting figuring out how to get up and down.

Oh yeah, it'll be a learning experience.... Keeping something handy to help you stand is a good idea. I am pretty much incapable of getting myself up off the floor without something to lean on.

I'm glad to hear (see?) you're doing well. I hope the healing and learning continue to go well.

Howdy everyone,
It has been a busy couple of weeks and a lot going on. This past Friday I went to see my prosthetist and was given my check socket which is the first of a few that I will get .

Walked for the first time in over 7 weeks.

Getting adjustments made to my leg...…….. break out the allen wrenches.

And here's a video of me walkin too.

And then on 7 July 18 I went for my first walk outside which was just great. I am allowed to put 30-40% weight on my leg at this point.

Awesome!! Lookin' good there Wildman! How's it feel to be mobile again?

In all reality, you are up and around a LOT faster than I expected you would be....... Generally, I think the healing process takes a bit longer??
