I agree I honestly just like the grill. I don't need no 12in touch screen radio

Agreed. For whatever reason, the manufacturers are making EVERYTHING electronic in some fashion. For a vehicle that I just want to WORK, it's counter-productive. Of course, this is nothing new. GM was doing the 'electronic shift' four wheel drive back in the 90s. The system sucked. Went from a lever that ALWAYS worked, to a system with a switch, controller (300 bucks), and the shift motor (another 300 bucks). None of which would last more than 30K miles...... and it seemed the only way to diagnose issues with the system was to throw parts at it. And now today, even the HVAC controls are computerized.......

My dad's 06 is electronic 4wd all my 3rd gens (one 1500 4wd with lever and two 2500 with levers) had the electronic 4wd and it takes about 5 seconds to engage and you can't disengage it while moving have to stop which is stupid. It will also make a loud bang if you disengage it while moving then stop. Plus he has a bad CV joint we can't get to disengage from the axle so we cut it right before where it meets the axle so he doesn't have 4wd. The only thing I like about my 1500 is you can engage 4wd while stopped. The 2nd gens and my 3rd gen 2500s you have to move a little, which must be because if the CADs which sucks because I got stuck in 2wd and couldn't engage 4wd.

Something's not right then because I can engage 4wd stopped, rolling, or cruising at 65mph.

Well, Dodge would prefer you were under 55...... I can pull on the expensive stick under most any conditions as well. Generally, it'll lock right in, even if I am stopped. If it doesn't, (when stopped) just turning the steering wheel back and forth a bit will convince it to engage. Unless, of course, I pull of into the snow bank for the plow truck to get by, and the moisture in the lines freezes....... so the cad simply doesn't work....... That was annoying.

Interesting...... Might make a trip there should I put you down for one or two?

Let me clarify lol. What I meant was my 3rd gen 1500 I can pull the lever and instantly have 4wd without doing anything. My 2nd gens you either have to turn the wheel as HeyYou said or roll about a foot or less before the light comes on. Never heard of the lines freezing there kind of funny that's why I would never live in Michigan.

They don't have winter in PA?

At least it was an easy fix..... (once I got out of the snowbank....) Pulled it into the garage, pointed the torpedo heater under the truck, let it run for a hour, then blow out the lines with compressed air. Never had an issue with it again.

We do but never that cold anymore never had anything freeze. Except on my 98 Dursngo it had a leaking heater core (happened in the summer) so I just kept adding water (that's free antifreeze isn't. I don't use distilled water I use tap the thing with lead in it lol). And forgot to add antifreeze in the winter so it froze. All I did was start it up rev it and drive as I drove it thawed and became a slushy (they cool is down so it should do it to an engine right ). Then eventually thawed completely
