A day or two ago a honda accord came across into my lane and hit me head on. I am fine, the other guy wasn't so lucky. I do have a bruise on my knee from hitting the dashboard....(No seatbelt =/) and a bit sore here and there but thats expected.... The dodge ram took a nasty hit, and protected me.. Only problem I noticed was THE AIRBAGS DIDNT DEPLOY!....... Although, I'm actually glad they didnt, they can do more harm than good in some sitations. My head didnt hit the dashboard or anything, so my situation would have been one of those.


It was a 2001 4wd standard cab... 5.9L 360 Engine... I love this truck, and will miss it...

How in the HELL did your truck fold up like that?

 

Looks like everything from the cab back is intact and not completely destroyed (not that it's salvageable). I wonder how different it would have been if you had a rhino bar on the front of your truck?

 

Guess I'm just a bit concerned about two things.

1) the airbags should have deployed for that kind of a hit.

2) Why did the truck do an immitation of an accordian? Did somebody hit you in the rear also or were you pulling something?

I have the same year truck except extended cab so it's got me wondering?

Wow, glad you are alright. the other guy needs not drive ever again. by the looks of things you may have taken care of that.
