I plan to buy a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler tomorrow for my truck. I have a 5.9 Liter v8 360. Have any of you guys ran this new muffler from Flowmaster on your trucks yet??? If so, how does it sound, is it nice and loud???

 

my ears , its the super 40 that is a deeper sound .. i had the shop try 3 mufflers 44 , super 40 , 40 delta flow...i like the super 40....

 

Really? Why would Flowmaster tell everyone it's their loudest then? I definately want to make sure it's their loudest muffler ya know??

 

It's not even close to their loudest muffler. You want a flowmaster 10

 

Really? Why wouldn't they advertise that as their loudest muffler then? That seems stupid to me, ya knnow? So the Flowmaster 10 is the loudest muffler?? What's all the talkof the Super 44, and Super 40 series then?

 

I just had a super 40 with 3 inch single out that replaced my standard 40 stock, 2 1/2 out and its way deeper and a bit louder but so loud that you cant talk in the cab.. sounds sweet.. Flowmaster is probably just trying to get some out into the market.. Good Luck..

 

OK, thatwas stupid.. i had it installed yesterday and its NOT too loud in the cab.. Sorry..

LOL it's ok. Well my plan was to buy the Super 44 with a 3" Inlet, and then a dual 2 1/2 " outlets and have rear sweeps with the 22" long, 4" diameter magnaflow tips! I know the 44's are loud, my brother has 7.5 liter 460 gas engine F-350 and he runs a true dual with the super 44's. But I just wanted to know if you guys ran this particular muffler on the 5.9 dodge motor? I also bought a hi-flow cat from magnaflow, so this truck is going to scream!!
