I find this post thread when I was searching for the best obdII Scanner! I read few website review like this theeffectiveguide.com/best-obd2-scanner. After reading those review, I am thinking to buy Innova scan tool. More specifically, I am looking to buy Innova 3100 Diagnostic scan Tool. Its price is under 100 bucks and have more than thousand reviews on amazon. Any idea about this scanner?

Keep in mind, this thread is 10 years old..... the technology has changed quite a bit in the intervening years.

Yea and you can get bluetooth ones that read out on your phone for a fraction of the cost. If your truck is a 97 or older you don't need one to get codes.
