rear drum brake *CHEAP UPGRADE*
ok I have been looking at this the only thing that I can see is that to much rear breaking power can make you slide out in wet weather. I have an 01 and from what I can see you dont have to use gm parts to make this work.

I just swapped my cylinders out for the 3500 cylinders. The swap was, of course, totally straightforward. I don't notice any difference in braking though. I suppose I'll have to pull the wheels again to adjust them out more. My truck doesn't have any openings on the back plate to adjust the brakes. Pretty awesome.
Are the 3500 cylinders essentially identical to the 1500 cylinders by appearance? I double checked the part numbers and the new ones are the 3500 ones, but they look the same as the old ones.
