Default Sonic Bath for $35, clean those injectors!

Saw on Walmart's web site that they have a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for $35. Might have to pick one up tomorrow.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=2416364 20oz Stainless steel basin, that's big enough for an injector or 2 at a time.

There's even a guy that reviewed and stated he bought it for cleaning fuel injectors and it worked well. Guess he's been reading VWandDodge's posts.

No kidding??? I want to do the injectors on my Cavalier. When I was doing my engine, I couldn't find one with a large enough basket. I'll have to check this out. Thanks for the tip!!!

Yeah, it was like the second review down the page. He even mentioned his cat didn't like the machine. Guess if it didn't work for the injectors, he wouldn't have reviewed it.

What do you use in the bath? The same liquid you use for jewelry?

remove the rubber o rings first... leave them in an oil bath while cleaning the injectors.. if you leave them on theyll dry out and will rip when you try and put them back in

when i did my plenum i removed all my injectors and left the o rings ina little bottle of syn motor oil and were in perfect shape when i was ready to put them back in..

Mineral spirits.

Also, replace the O-rings. They are cheap, so don't be Just oil them before installing them back on to the injector.
