are headers worth it?
hey im lookin at headers and i here different things like one guys swears by them and then another guy says they are too much of a hassle because you need to keep tightening them and the power gain just isnt worth it
Anyone that says they aren't worth it, or that they are too much of a hassle is either A.) Too lazy to admit they are badass, or B.) Doesn't have enough money to buy them, so they just say there not worth it to make them feel better lol. Headers are pretty much the first real stepping stone to making a vehicle a true modded vehicle. Sure cold air intakes and catback systems are nice, but that's just what any average person does. How often do you hear people have headers? Not many, because they aren't truly passionate about building their vehicle up. If you get the headers, especially long tubes, you'll make people drool that much more about your truck and how badass she is!![8D]
Actually if you have a catback system and no headers you are a tool [8D]
At a glance you'll apear to have a nice exhaust system, but if they look under the hood they'll realize it's nothing special.
Headers are definetly worth it as far as performance because you actually gain HP and Torque from it as appose to the maybe 5 hp you get from a catback system because they pipe is half inch bigger after the converter or because there's 2 pipes now (fake duals). I think the minimum on headers is about 10 for your lesser quality shorties and about 20 or so for the longtubes.
From what I've heard what gaskets you put them on with make more difference than anything as far as leaks and stuff. I'm sure someone will chime in about that.

God I can't even sleep at night in anticipation of getting the longtube headers. Man it really is just going to set it off with the existing exhaust system I have on their now. Because it's true, right now...my truck is loud as hell, but it's all just noise really...ppl look under there and it starts at the cat and back...and that doesn't do it for me!! When you get those big spidery looking longtubes in there and they come hanging down with a passion and but up to your offroad y-pipe and into your cat...ahh yeah, let the power begin! THEN, that sound your truck makes will actually be true power, and not fake acoustic ****!!! So yes on the headers, yes on the longtubes, yes on them being ceramic coated, and yes on getting some badass headgaskets and some sick *** locker nuts! Phew...I'm done now

Headers are LAME!
lol, jk. Get headers. Pacesetters. Mine have been in for over 6 months and with a little polishing they always look as new as when I put them in. No rust whatsoever.
