Default 20" wheels on a 2nd gen, ...Anybody?

Has anyone put the newer OEM 20" wheels on their 2nd gen?
I posted a while back, ...but never got any replies. (https://dodgeforum.com/m_1129140/tm.htm)

I'm new on this board, ...but can't imagine this hasn't been done before.

I'm interested to know if they actually do fit, ...and hopefully from someone who has done it.

Thanks,
Kevin

Thanks for the replies.
...does anyone know if the inside rim (hub) area is the same diameter on the stock '97 rims compared to the newer 20"? ...I thought I read somewhere that the 20" has a slightly larger hub, ...and even though they 'fit' on a 2nd gen truck, ...the rim in effect is centered by the lugs, ...not the hub itself.

A friend of mine has an '07, ...I'm heading over his house tomorrow to check fitment, ...so I'll reply back.

...If anyone that has done this reads this thread, ...I'd be very interested on your thoughts. (ie. ride, looks, etc.)

Thanks again,
Kevin

Well how much are you going to get the 20's for? If you are planing on getting them from a dealer just go aftermarket, you can find alot better looking 20's for the price.

...I like the 'factory' look and I think Mopar did a great job with the polished 20's. I'm looking/hoping to purchase a take off set, ...I agree they are way too pricey from the dealerships new.

I have a set currently on my 01 2 wheel drive and they fit perfect. I had the same wheel on a 98 4x4 ram before and they fit on there perfect too. I never had any problem with the wheels on there. I loved the way it looked plus it lifted the truck up about an inch or so.

The studs are smaller but the stock lugs that are on our trucks will fit the wheels fine. I've had these wheels on three different trucks with the stock lug nuts and never had any problems. Hope this helps

Squishy...,
THANKS for the reply, ...as well for the photo of your truck withthe wheels, ...it looks great!
Was there any real 'noticeable' performance difference going to the 20's? ...and do you recall how far off the speedometer read?
Lastly, ...do you remember if the hub diameter on the (2nd gen) truck was the same as thehub of the rim that seats to it? (in other words, ...does the rim 'center' to the hub itself, ...or is it centered by the lugs?

Again, ...thanks so much for the reply, ...your truck looks great with them on it.

...For info...

I was able to borrow a 20 polished wheel from a friend of mine, ...the inner hub is the SAME for the factory 97 wheels and the newer 20", ...both measure 3" inside hub diameter.
I bolted the wheel up, (on my 97 4x4) and it fit fine.
...now to locate a set

Thanks for the compliments! With the tire size I have on therenow(285/50/20) they are about 5-6 mph off.As far as performance I didn'tnotice any type of loss.Check out this site. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlI use it to figure out tire size differences.
