Look, just wanna say i dont feel sorry for any1 that is having "transmation probloms" Once u replace the transmation, new 4x4 transfer case, all u joins full rear drive shaft, back gears from being striped, replacing almost all the wairing, all new coils shocks and back leave springs. along withthe fulltrack bar with bracket and full stearing box with linkage along with the full control arm.Once u have done all that and more then come here and complain.
Call me crazy, but I have a sneeking suspision that you talk from experience...

Ahah, sadly yes. It is one of though cases where i put more into the truck then i payed for it. But hey I have a nice truck now that has alot of value to me and it is something that i respect b/c of all the hardwork and money I have put into it. Just makes me mad when i hear "OMG MY TRUCK HAS 150K miles on it with a lift and big tires WHY AM I HAVING TRANSMATIONS PROBLOMS!!!" idk any1 else feel my pain? lol

I don't see where anyone here has mentioned this so I'm going to. You probably have a completely worn out front end. Don't you have spacers on top of the offroad coils? Thats 4.5" of lift one a front end that is supposed to have problems if you put more than 3" of lift on it. I've read of several people claiming after putting spacers on a offroad model truck without changing the rest that it wore the front end parts out very quickly. I've said in the past thats not a good setup at all and not one I'd drive. You probably have a bunch of worn out stuff from that.

My truck doesn't have a as much of lift as yours and doesn't have as big of tires but it is lifted and nothing like what you say lifted trucks are on the highway. I have a 3" lift vs yours is about 4.5" and I have 33"s instead of 35"s. Mine on the highway doesn't wonder all over the road. Is it as smooth and fast on the interstate as our Honda Accord V6 6speed? No but I don't expect it to be. It isn't unsafe feeling at all. The only times I have really seen a problem was in very heavy winds where it would seem to catch on the tires where they stick out and it would wonder a little. Of course all the other cars seemed to have a problem staying straight too. My truck might have been a tad worse but any car in that wind would have wondered. In normal weather it might wonder slightly more than a car but it's not bad like you explain. It's like a truck. I'd have your front end parts checked out.

Another thing I thought I might recommend. I added a Hypertech programmer to mine and while it has been a while since I drove it on the interstate as it's been sitting waiting for a good tranny for a while it seems like to me after the programmer it seems like at 60-70mph it wants to just pull a lot harder. Maybe it's the tranny doing this or maybe I'm imagining it but it seems like before after 60 it was pretty much gutless. It had power but crept up now it just wants to keep on pulling. I wouldn't say it made a huge difference with the power all around but it seems to have helped some. On the highway it seems like it pulls better. Maybe you should look into something like that.

For transmissions you should check out APS. Thats the route I went. My only complaint is that it took a little over a month to get one when he originally told me he should have it ready to ship in a week or so. Now I ordered it on Christmas eve so I expected some delays as he said they were closed until after the new year but he would work on mine. This is a problem if you need your truck back in a few days but if you have time to wait Wanye was great to deal with and this transmission is just amazing so far. I can't say enough good about this thing. Wayne even through in some extra parts since I had to wait. It seems like others have had this problem with it taking a while but in the long run it seems well worth it. I'd still recommend him quite a bit I thought I'd just throw that out there since it's your main vehicle you may need it back super fast.

While you may have had a bad tranny when you got it your burnouts and stuff sure didn't help it. I like doing them too but it's extremely hard on stuff such as the tranny which in these trucks is already week. If you get a new one and don't want to replace it again I'd probably try not to do those.

Anyway sounds to me like you have a problem if stuff is really as bad as you think. Not trying to be a dick here just pointing out some stuff I see wrong.

Hell there's nothing wrong with my transmission and I've got an envelope marked "transmission" I throw about $10 a week in, just to soften the blow if she does go.
I only have 55k and i already have enough money saved up, and in a bank account, to replace the tranny if it goes. Then if I want to do any mods to my truck that has to be extra money I earn.

How big do you plan to go? My guess is he is just having issues due to the fact that his suspension is a hack job. Not trying to be mean but thats what a set of spacers thrown on a set of offroad coils is with the rest of the truck stock. You need quite a few more parts to properly run that setup. 3" is the max you can go without either wearing out other parts quickly or changing a bunch of parts. So a 3" spacer seems like from what I've read it is usually okay on a stock truck if it's the non offroad but on the offroad you already have a 1.5" lift so you should only go with another 1.5" lift without changing other parts. Not stack a 3" spacer on there.

He has a nice looking truck and seems like a really cool guy but I wouldn't have lifted it like that.
