I'd talk to Auburn about getting the parts from them for free or at least at cost, If they are admitting to poor design, they should help out.

They almost grenaded your rear diff, I wouldn't go light on them.

So your getting 4.56s? Did you just buy those? How much are they charging you to put those in the differentials. Man, that's really going to be sweet. I've yet to check what I have, but I'm feeling they'll be 4.10s. The previous owner doesn't seem bright enough to do such a big mod like that.

Good to hear the new ones don't have this issue. Well, hopefully anyway. You are the first person I've heard of having problems with a Auburn. Mine is the new part numbered one.

To rebuild a rear diff, I would spend the extra cash and have somebody else do it. Too much can go wrong and theres no warranty if you do it! Luckyfor me, my sisters dating one of the top guys at the local offroad shop/club. All I gotta do is buy the parts and a case of beer, and I get to learn in the process!

Gonna sell the gears? I happen to be buying 4.10's in the real near future. My rear end shop has afresh(new springs)Auburn LSD for $175. He is waiting on meto give the go ahead. I was at Summit Racing yesterday and almost got 'em. Hope you come through, and make it so I did the right thing and waited;-)

I think i'm going to hang on to the gears, just in case.

Truck is still in the shop. The repair kit had to come direct from Auburn, which is an Australian based company. Parts should be here hopefully today or tomorrow, so looking like I won't have the truck back until sometime next week at this rate.

Ok, good luck with the repairs, I actually just scheduled mine today to go in the shop on the 22nd. He has an Auburn LSD with new springsthat i am buying for$175, he is putting that in with 4.10 Yukon gears and all new bearings for about $850. I guess that is about the going rate! Anyway can't wait!
