Hopefully he is riding around right now enjoying his truck and doesn't have time to post.

More than likely he is with that chick of his in his newly redone truck doing more than just driving it around.

Hey guys. I have a slight problem. That open carrier I bought did not come with the pin. And the pin from the lsd unit does not appear to be interchangable with the open carrier. I have everything in the differnetial set to go including backlash. I just need to drop the pin in and I will be done. But I cannot get this truck on the road until I get that differnetial pin. Anybody know where I can get a pin fast? Thanks

What kind of pin? Can the dealer get it for you? As much as I hate to say it if they sell it seperately it might be your best bet. Since I don't know too much about them and rebuilding them I don't know exactly what pin you are talking about.

Take a picture of the part of the differential where there is something missing so that we can tell exactly what pini it is your missing.

It is the big pin that goes right down the middle of the carrier.

It looks like this:

I think it is also called a "cross shaft pin". Ebay and summitracing have tons of **** for the up front Dana 44 axle, but nobody has **** for the Chrysler 9.25 axle, blows. I had assumed the limited slip's pin would be interchangable with the open carrier, otherwise I would have asked the guy to send it with it. I asked the guy who sold me the open carrier if he has the pin, but he's not sure, he's going to look tomorrow. But this only means I'm down at least a 1/2-week. Everything is set-up inside the differential though. Even the backlash. I got the axles in too. If I move the axles though, all of the spider gears will fall out of place. So, sucks very bad, I could almost taste having the truck back. I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow, call randy's ring and pinion, keep looking on pavementsucks, hope that the guy has the pin, or hope that one of you guys know where I can get one that will fit into the open carrier. Always best of my luck though right??
