Rear Differential...CASE CLOSED=)
I don't think so. I only had the truck running for about 5 seconds before I remembered the truck was in neutral. I am very annoyed with myself. Just so close to getting the truck back. I hope he can come out tonight and put it back together. But this means I need to pay him again, theres no way I'm making him do all of that work again for nothing...can't even describe how pissed off and depressed I am right now.
That sucks man. Is the pin coming in tomorrow or Monday? I know the dealer here isn't open on saturdays. I don't know what all you need to do for that but it doesn't sound good. I'd not truck the truck after you get it fixxed until you get that pin just to be safe.

You don't need to pull it out again. Just line up the 2 spider gears and reinstall them.
No biggie.

Nice sounds like you might have finally found a nice mechanic. Hope you tip him well. Especially for coming to your house to do all this for you. It's super nice of him. Anyway maybe you shouldn't mess with it until you get that pin in haha. Be sure to let us know how it is when you get it back on the road.
'Eh, he didn't come last night sadly. I have the pin now though, and it fits. If I had just left the damn truck alone, I could have just popped that fricken pin in the carrier, and I could have it on the road. Now I have to wait for someone to help me get the spiders gears back in there. I'm tempted to just try myself, but I don't want to go this far and then ruin the rear end because I can't wait for help. 2 1/2 weeks without a truck though...I'm really starting to get pissed off now...
Try it your self.
As long as the gears line up and the pin is installed your good to go.
It's kind of tricky but not very hard. Get the pinions gears across from each other then rotate 1 wheel torotatethem into place. Install pin, Tighten lock pin, Done!
Seal up the cover and fill with fluid.
