Tomorrow I am having a guy who owns a transmission shop check my truck out. I told him what's wrong with it. He owns the same truck as me so this will be very helpful. He's going to write me a list that I can give New England Transmission.

Is he going to be opening up the transmission at all, or just looking at the problems and writing a list of whats wrong and how it should work?

Percisely. He's going to test drive the truck and see what I'm talking about. He knows if he opens it up it may void the warranty on me. He seems like a very nice guy, and appreciates my situation. I'm hoping he will recognize what I'm talking about. It's great the fact he owns the same truck as me. Lets just hope it works in my favor.

No I think he is saying it might void the warranty if he opens the transmission up as in starts taking it apart to see whats in it. If I gave someone a warranty on a part of mine and they took it somewhere else and had it taken apart I'd void the warranty too. I wouldn't know if the part actually failed or if they put it back together wrong.

Anyone let us know when you hear from him. I'm curious to see how this goes.

Not too much out of this trip, but I didn't loose anything either. He's a really nice guy, but he was limited to what he could do without opening it up. He told me he noticed how the truck kind of drops off the face of the earth in overdrive power wise. He also noticed the pedal being sensitive. He said he thinks it's the tv cable. He suggessted buying a new valve body kit. He also thinks the shift points are too close together and that it's shifting too early into 3rd and 4th gear causing the unsmoothness and lack of power. My truck goes into 3rd at 35mph, and overdrive at 45mph. He thinks 42ish would be good for 3rd, and 50 for overdrive. So truck goes back to New England Transmission Monday morning. I"'m going to take one of the techs with me this time and try this again, woop-de-doo.

Cool cool. Glad he verified that there are problems. Hopefully you can get the other shop to take care of them. Have you called them and told them you were bringing it in?

Yes, I did the dreaded call and called Mark over at new england. When I told him that the throttle cab seemed to be out of whack and causing the pedal to be sticky, he snapped and said that had nothing to do with the throttle, and that it was probably something to do with the throttle linkage, and not the transmission. As suspected he was an ******* as usual. This is why when I go there Monday morning, I'm asking Mark to get me a technician so I can take the tech for a ride. I'm tired of bringing Mark in my vehicle, he tries to intimidate me and doesn't listen to what I say. I'm bringing the tech and showing him exactly what it is doing and what exactly I want it to do. Nothing ever gets done when I bring Mark. Quite honestly he makes me feel uncomfortable and I loose my train of thought. IF I can talk to the guy who is actually working on my truck, we can create some kind of friendship hopefully. I am a nice guy, there is no reason why Mark should treat me so terribly. We should have an excellent relationship. I paid good money, I have a nice truck, I should practically be there sponsor for goodwork. So sorry to prolong this never ending transmission saga, but dealing with this since February is becoming very old.

I haven't followed this before this thread, but if Mark is the owner or manager, but I think you're screwed. (I hope I'm wrong). If the tech answers to Mark, he probably is not going to have any real say in what goes on. I wish you the best though.
