the trailer has stayed the same size, as evidence to how heavy the trailer was here this, the trailer has two 8,000lb axles, that day I bent the back one, and also, my hitch is a class five rated for 1000lb tongue weight, I'm not sure what the frame is, but the bottom of the channel in the rear, bent down, and since that day my hitch is about 3 inches away from the bumper. You guys can say whatever you want, but I know for a fact, that the trailer weighed over 25,000lbs.

one of ya'll was sayin that they have hauled sod in the bed before, around here they wont do that unless you have a 450 or better truck, company policy, since they've broke a leafspring on a 2500 one time, man was that funny.

I know its hard to believe me, but I'm not lying, The truck scale that day said like, 32,3xx, I dont remember the exact weight, but it was a fricken lot. And for my license only to be rated for 26,000lbs who says I don't have a class A cdl, huh. How do you know I don't have a cdl.

I don't have a cdl, and I have been pulled over. The cop pulled me over in the middle of the road at a stop light, because when I tried to stop, the truck was shaken back and forth, he was like sir, I think your a little over weight, and I told him I normally pull it with a 1 ton, but it was broke down. That happened 2 days ago.

Any way you write this whether you are lying or just that stupid be damn glad you aren't standing in front of me the is so damn dangerous that I would beat the crap out of you for driving with that much weight on the same roads other people use(including kids).

So now maybe you will shut up because either way you have lost any respect you may have ever had on this site.

Oh and I do have a class A CDL.

Couldn't agree more. There are reasons weight limits areset on roads, trucks, and licenses. All of which areto save property as well as lives. If you are lying that's messed up cause it may give some other idiot the false sense of it's ok to pull this kind of weight.

I'd imagine it's BS. I hauled a 30,000 pound trailer with a 2003F-350 diesel, quad cab, long bed dually, and it had problems with it. For starters the braking distance quadrupled. and it had trouble going up hills without a good running start. also before the electronic trailer brake got put on the trailer (and even after to some extent) going down hill the trailer would push the truck forward, which really shot the braking distance all to hell.

I have serious doubts of my truck moving a load like that anyfurther than across the yard, in 4-low.

ok, to prove that sod weighes that much, a buddy of mine the other day, got pulled over (he has a semi), he had 18 pallets of sod on his truck. He weighed an incredible 99,500lbs, 19,500 over weight. He called me to come get some pallets off his truck so that he could make the delivery, he took six pallets off of his truck to get him under 80,000lbs, so DOT would let him move the truck. 19,500/6= 3250 per pallet.

Now that we know how much each pallet weighs, let me help you guys add this up. My trailer weighs 3740+6(3250)= 23,240. Now add the sod cutter (500 lbs). 23,240+500=23,740. Now lets add the roller (3,500 lbs). 23,740+3,500=27,240lbs. Now add 4 rakes, 4 pitchforks, shovels, 4 guys in the bed of the truck(to do the work). And I'm pretty sure that I've reached my 28,000lbs guys.

I don't care if you believe me or not, but I'm not lying. The whole point of this thread was to tell you guys that my truck broke,PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I really like this F750 I've been looking at, I'm not sure that the bank will loan me the money, w/o me saving some money for a down payment.

Okay so the DOT wouldn't let the semi go because it was overloaded, so you show up in a 1500, and throw 19,500 pounds worth of sod on it and they let you go? C'mon...

Plus I thought you said your load was 25,000lbs this time? I thought it was 28,000lbs the last time? Try to keep the story straight.

Anyways good luck on the F-750. That would be one hell of a truck. Then you could retire your dodge to a daily driver/trail rig.

I know it sounds foolish, but there is no law regulating how much you can pull with a pickup truck(at least here in Fl), it goes by the trailer. And I guess my trailer is big enough, because he would have given me a ticket for sure, he was nice though, just doin his job I guess.

I called the guy on the 750, 134,000miles it has a 7.2L Cat motor with 230hp, 810ft lbs, 5 speed allison auto(i thought it was a standard, but I was wrong, 33,000GVW, 28,000rear, 12,000 front. Crew cab, air brakes, very nice tires. And the best part, is that he set up mobile homes with it, so I think that it has not been overworked.

I talked him down to 12,000 bucks, so now I just need the money.

In case anyone wants to buy a s10 project. I've got a 86 s10 not assembled. 600hp small block th-400, narrowed ford 9", many many other parts. I have many weeks into the truck. And just over 14,000 bucks into it over the last two years. I'm asking 10,000 dollars firm, or 8,000 for just the motor.

wow im just sitting here laughin my a$$ off. the weight shifts so much. ok so your getting a F750? good. you got stopped cuz you where to heavy? good. the cop says alighty yall can go now as a 1500 ram screaming bloody murder pulls away with 19500lbs? "8.853 tons"from a semi made for pulling way more then 8 tons. good, the fact that you just made youself look like a fool and should have just said "i'm getting a F750 because i foolishly tryed pulling x amount of pallets loaded with sod in a truck that cant handel that much.......priceless. im sorry man but i forsee 99% of people on here dont believe you or find it hard to believe. why dont you post a pic or a vid of you pulling all this weight then we'll say ok your stupid but atleast your not lieing. im not being a ***** im just stateing off what my 2 cents are from reading all this. but its kind of sad that now you choose to get something made for pulling after breaking your truck. should have gotten that 1st.

Besides the safety issue, which is a huge problem to begin with, I am puzzled why you would ever put your truck through that? Why would you want to ruin your truck. Do you see that picture of my truck in my signature? That's a 6,000 pound excavator, and the trailer weighs a little over 3,000 pounds. The truck did a good job with it, but I would pretty much not ever do it again unless I have to do. My brother owns the F-350, and we leave the towing to him. He was being a nice guy and letting me see how the ram could take it, but even that 9,000 something load was something I was nervous about. Your load was more than 3 times than, are you insane? Just don't understand why you were willing to throw all that weight on there. You should have loaded your trailer on and taken 3 at the most, now your truck is burning man...anyways.

once I get the rearend fixed, I'm hoping to have a bigger truck so I don't have to pull that much with my truck. The only reason that I've done it a few times is because I had no other choice. My dad has a one ton, but he said he wasn't going to let me tow that much with his truck, he said something like, are you crazy, I'll pull it with my semi. lol. As far as the video, you guys got a deal. Once I fix the truck I will try out my moms new camcorder.

Your dad is alot smarter than you are. You could learn something from him.

and don't fix your truck just so you can record yourself breaking it again. That's retarded. We all get the point. You can cut 15 acres 3 foot high grass with a push mower, but it's going to take all day and the ****ing thing is going to break...

Anyways get us some more specs on that F-750 I'd like to hear more about it...
