Headed in the right direction
Yes that's the one I got, the "Performance 4 Pinion" along with a 2,500 rpm stall converter. I also am having him send a replacement plenum plate kit as well. I'm sorry to hear you're having tranny problems... That really sucks!
Well, got off the phone with Wayne and he told me to adjust the rear band. He was on the phone with me after I pulled the pan off and walked me through how to do it. I then put it back together and went for a drive. It seems to be fixed 100%. The only thing it cost me was a little time, new fluid, and a new filter as I decided to change those instead of reusing my old fluid and filter not sure if it was needed or not.
Anyway it goes perfect in reverse now and still shifts perfect in all forward gears. Although I never had a problem with it shifting perfect in forward before only in not having reverse. However, it now has reverse again and works just like new. Wayne said sometimes when they break in they get out of spec and need adjusting. He didn't seem concerned at all and told me he doesn't think it messed anything up at all and that it should be fine and that it was a Chrysler issue. He said he had seen this several times before as had anyone that had built these things.
Just didn't sound like a big deal at all just needed a little bit of adjustment and runs great again. I'm super impressed with the support I got and this is why I like APS soo much. I still believe this is a quality unit as everything needs adjusting sometimes. I don't think it was a transmission problem just that it was slightly out of adjustment.
Oh well, glad to have a transmission that shifts perfectly and now has reverse perfectly again. He told me the forward band wouldn't need adjusting yet as it didn't move as much as the rear or something. He explained it all to me but only part of it made sense.
I think I lucked out as I thought my transmission had broken. Soo glad it didn't. Oh well, I'm happy now.
As for the A/C issue I know but it seemed like the compressor was leaking as I found dye on it the last time so that's why I changed it, then the evap coil was very common so I did that and the heater core while I was in there.
Then the orfice tube and drier you have to do. I think I just probably have a small leak somewhere since it's taking it a week and a half to lose enough to just kick the compressor on and off. It's not emptying in that time just losing enough for the compressor to kick on and off. I'm confident I will get that fixed. Just got to give it time for the dye to leak out so I can see where it's leaking.

I'm glad you got the tranny working properly again. It seems kinda strange that it would suddenly go out like it did. Were there any signs it was about to go out, or did you just suddenly loose reverse without warning?
He told me it's not something you expect to see happen but it's something that anyone that builds these things has dealt with quite a few times before. Something about how they break in and need adjusting. He didn't seem at all concerned but I don't know. He said if I have any more issues I should call him. It's working perfect right now though. Do you guys think it will keep working perfect like he seems to think or do you think I will have more issues?
